Vermont will host six regular season non-conference matchups at Patrick Gym. UVM doubles its non-league home games after hosting three out-of-conference foes in 2022-23, in what was ranked the 34th toughest schedule in the country.
- The Catamounts host two exhibitions before the regular season begins. Vermont will welcome Becker's alma mater, Catholic, to Patrick Gym on October 28. The traditional crosstown matchup with Saint Michael's will be on November 1.
- UVM begins the regular season with two straight home games, starting on November 6 against Merrimack. The Warriors have won regular season titles in two of their four seasons as members of the Northeast Conference, and are postseason eligible starting this season. Plattsburgh State rounds out the homestand on November 11.
- Vermont will travel to Conway, South Carolina for the Myrtle Beach Invitational, hosted by ESPN Events. One of the premier mid-major multi-team events in the country, the Catamounts will begin the tournament against College of Charleston on November 16. The Cougars were an impressive 31-4 (16-2 CAA) a season ago. Tip-off is slated for 11:30 a.m. and will be televised nationally on ESPNU. The Myrtle Beach Invitational will continue on November 17 & 19, and will broadcast live on the ESPN family of networks.
- The Cats return home to host Vermont State University-Johnson on November 22.
- Vermont will then head to the Midwest for a trip to Bradley on November 25. The Braves went 25-10 (16-4 MVC) in 2022-23 to claim the regular season title in the Missouri Valley Conference.
- UVM hosts two-straight Ivy League opponents, starting with Dartmouth on November 29, followed by Yale on December 2. Yale has won either a regular season title, or conference championship in the each of the last four seasons of Ivy League play.
- After a trip to Northeastern on December 6, the Catamounts will return to Patrick Gym for the final home game of the non-conference slate against Colgate on December 9. Colgate has won four of the last five championships in the Patriot League. The matchup will mark the third-straight season that Vermont will face Colgate. Each of the previous two games have been decided by 10 points or less, with UVM earning both victories.
- The Catamounts will finish the non-conference slate with four games on the road. Vermont will begin a three-game road trip on December 16 when it visits Virginia Tech. UVM will then make stops at Toledo on December 20, and Miami (OH) on December 22, before a brief holiday break. The Catamounts will conclude non-league play on January 2 at Brown.
