NEWARK, N.J. – The defending America East Champions are 2-2 after the first two weekends of the 2024-25 campaign. This weekend the Catamounts hit the road to the NJIT Invitational where UVM will be looking to match its first-place finish of the last two seasons. Action from the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday and continue with two Saturday sessions at 10 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. Vermont will face the women's teams from Howard and Saint Peter's. All three sessions will stream live on ESPN+ and International Feed is also available on America East.TV.

CATAMOUNTS LOOKING TO MAKE IT THREE STRAIGHT IN JERSEY
Vermont has won the NJIT Invitational in each of the last two seasons. In 2023 Vermont finished with 1133 points 92 points ahead of second-place UMass. In 2022 the Catamounts posted 1348 points, 461 ahead of UMBC. In 2022
Jackie House won six individual events for Vermont at the invitational and she was named AE Swimmer of the Week for her efforts.

LANEY AND LEGERE EARN AMERICA EAST WEEKLY HONORS
On Tuesday morning the Catamounts
Hally Laney and Jocelyn Legere were honored by America East in their inaugural set of weekly honors for the 2024-25 campaign. Three individual event wins against Marist & a win in the 200 Medley Relay helped Laney pickup her second career
#AESD Swimmer of the Week nod. After winning the backstroke last Saturday at Marist in the 200, with the fastest time in the conference this season (2:07.69) LeGere was named Female Rookie of the Week.
