NEWARK, N.J. –
Hally Laney won three of the Catamounts eight event wins at the NJIT Invitational as Vermont won its third straight title at the invite with 1292.5 points defeating Howard (1064.5 Pts) and Saint Peter's (268 Pts).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Laney picked up the Catamounts only win of the Friday night session taking the 200 IM with a time of 2:09.05, her top time of the season. Natalie Schlemmer and Jocelyn LeGere completed a top three sweep for Vermont.
- Saturday morning Schlemmer added an event win for the Catamounts claiming the 400 IM with a time of 4:38.01, again her fastest of the season.
- Laney then tied for first place in the 100 Fly. She and Howard's Chanice Posada registered identical times of 57.26.
- Lilly Acker led a dominate Catamounts performance in the 100 Breast. UVM claimed each of the top six spots. Acker won the day with a time of 1:08.29.
- Vermont wrapped up session two with a win in the 400 Medley Relay with Julie Salvador, Acker, Jessica Drozdowski and Havana Layton finishing in a time of 3:58.29.
- Ella Church kicked off Saturday's final session with a win in the 1650 Free in a time of 17:53.44. Emily Rocco placed second for the Catamounts in a time of 18:06.55.
- Schlemmer claimed the 200 Breast in a time of 2:23.74, her teammate Acker was second.
- Laney picked up the Catamounts last win of the Invitational in the 200 Fly in a time of 2:05.19. The top five places in the event were Vermont swimmers.
WHO'S NEXT
The Catamounts are back in action Friday, October 18 as they travel to face New Hampshire in America East action. Friday's meet will stream live on AmericaEast.TV beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Vermont will compete at home again on Saturday, October 19 as they host Merrimack at 1 p.m. It will be the Catamounts Annual Rally Against Cancer Meet presented by Mascoma Bank. The action will also be streamed live on AmericaEast.TV
