BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont (2-2) swimming and diving team continues the 2024-25 campaign this weekend with two dual meets in under 24 hours. The defending America East Champions travel to face New Hampshire at 5:30 p.m. Friday from Swasey Pool. Then on Saturday afternoon the Catamounts host Merrimack at 1 p.m. in their Rally Against Cancer Meet presented by Mascoma Bank. Fans are encouraged to wear lavender to the meet. Both meets will air live for free on AmericaEast.TV.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION
New Hampshire
Friday night is the Wildcats first meet of the 2024-25 campaign. Last season UNH finished second overall at the 2024 America East Championships. Vermont ended the Wildcats run of four consecutive league titles. Last season UNH opened its campaign with a 170-130 win over UVM at Forbush Natatorium. The Wildcats claimed 10 of the 16 events last October.
Merrimack
The Warriors are 1-1 this season after splitting a double dual meet with Sacred Heart and
Stonehill on October 5. Merrimack topped Stonehill 137.5-123.5 and fell to the host Pioneers 165-96. At the 2024 NEC Championships the Warriors finished eighth overall out of nine teams. Last season the Catamounts opened the season hosting the Warriors in a 159-95 season-opening win from Forbush Natatorium.
