BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont (10-2-5, 4-1-2 AE) will host the four-seed Bryant (10-5-4, 4-3-0 AE) Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. from Virtue Field in the 2024 America East Men's Soccer Championship Game. It will be the Catamounts third Championship game appearance in the last five years and the first time they've hosted the contest since 2015.
Sunday's contest is a sell out, fans are encouraged to wear gold to the game. All of the action from Virtue Field will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Brian McLaughlin on the call and Vermont Green FC Head Coach & Sporting Director Adam Pfeifer providing analysis. INSIDE THE MATCHUP
- Bryant defeated the top-seed in the tournament, UNH, on Thursday at Wildcat Stadium. After 110 minutes of action, they were scoreless, the Bulldogs defeated UNH 4-2 in penalties.
- Bryant is the defending America East Champions, in 2023 they defeated UNH 1-0 on the road with a goal in the 102nd minute. Senior forward Jonas Lyshoj scored the game-winner for the Bulldogs.
- The Catamounts and Bulldogs will meet for the sixth time in series history on Sunday. Vermont is a perfect 5-0-0 against Bryant, last year the Catamounts topped Bryant 1-0 on the road behind a goal from Yaniv Bazini.
- On October 19, UVM defeated the Bulldogs 1-0 at Virtue Field, this time with Pieter Bultman's first career goal being the difference maker
- Bryant has allowed only 11 goals this season, which is tied with Penn for the best in the NCAA.
- Bryant goalkeeper Antreas Hadjigavriel is currently on shutout streak that has lasted 308:03. He has conceded two goals in a game only three times this season.
CHAMPIONSHIP GAME HISTORY
- The Catamounts will be making their 11th appearance in the America East Championship Game. UVM is 5-4-1 in their 10 appearances, they defeated Boston University in PKs in 1990.
- Five of Vermont's six America East titles have come as the two-seed in the tournament, as they are again this year.
- Vermont is 3-1-0 at home in Championship games. The last instance came in 2015 when Brian Wright led the Catamounts to a 1-0 victory over Binghamton at Virtue Field.
- The Catamounts will be looking to become the second team (1989) in program history to win at least a share of the Regular Season title and the tournament championship.
HOME PLAYOFFS
- The Catamounts are 12-9-3 all-time as the home team in the America East Tournament.
- After winning three NCAA Tournament home games over the last two seasons UVM is just 2-4-1 at Virtue Field in the America East Tournament under Coach Dow.

- Since 2021 the Catamounts are 20-0-0 when scoring three or more goals.
- Vermont's current .735 winning percentage is the 16th best in the NCAA.
- The Catamounts offense and depth has come through time and time again this season. UVM has scored 15 goals in the 76th minute or later and 11 goals in the 83rd minute or later this year.
- The Catamounts are a +18 in terms of goal differential this season, which is first in America East and tied for 16th in the NCAA.
