BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont Men's Basketball travels to North Andover, Mass. for their third straight road game of the year facing off against the Merrimack Warriors. Action from Hammel Court kicks off Nov. 9 and tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
- TJ Hurley had his career high (20) in points against UAB on Monday night.
- Noah Barnett saw his first collegiate action versus UAB, he finished with eight points and six rebounds coming off the bench.
- Ileri Ayo-Faleye had seven points, three rebounds, and three blocks in the 1st half against Auburn on Wednesday.
- Gavin Perryman and Shy Odom both recorded their first points as a Catamount versus Auburn.
- The Catamounts were selected No. 1 in the America East Preseason Poll for the eighth time in the last nine seasons, and the tenth time in 14 seasons under John Becker. Vermont received eight of the nine first-place votes, and a score of 64 points. UMass Lowell was picked second in the poll, receiving the one remaining first-place votes and a score of 55 points.
- Shamir Bogues received a Preseason All-Conference honor after earning America East Newcomer of the Year, All-Championship Team, All-Conference First Team, and All-Defensive Team in 2023-24.
- TJ Long also received a Preseason All-Conference honor after landing on the America East All-Championship Team and All-Conference Third Team last year.
SCOUTING THE WARRIORS
- This is Merrimack's season opener and their first game as a member of the MAAC conference.
- Last year, the Warriors had a (21-12) record and lost in the NEC Championship against Wagner.
- Merrimack finished 2nd in NEC regular season play with a (13-3) conference record in 2023-24.
- The Warriors' defense was their strong suit in conference play only allowing opponents to 62.5 points a game and 29% from three.
- In last year's matchup, Vermont beat Merrimack 67-55 at Patrick Gym. Shamir Bogues led Vermont with 19 points.
- Merrimack was picked to finish 6th this year in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- Sophomore guard Adam "Budd" Clark returns to Merrimack after winning NEC Rookie of the Year and landing on the All-NEC Second Team in 2023-24. Clark averaged 13.4 points, 3.9 assists, and 2.5 steals a game.
- The Warriors also return NEC Most Improved Player of the Year Bryan Etumnu. The junior forward recorded 7.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks a game last year
