MIAMI, Fla. - University of Vermont senior
Ella Church was the top finisher for the Catamounts placing 38th overall at the 2024 CSCAA National Collegiate Open Water Championship Sunday Morning in Miami's Biscayne Bay. Vermont finished 14th overall among the 19 competing women's teams with three or more swimmers.

Church posted a time of 1:09:48.9 on the 5k course which was comprised of three laps in Biscayne Bay. Rice's Ella Dyson won the women's race with a time of 1:03:31.4. It was her second time winning the event, she topped the nearest competition by over three minutes.
Two other Catamounts placed in the top-75.
Dayle Snively (1:11:24.04) was 55th and
Jackie House was 73rd in a time of 1:13.38.58.
The Catamounts full team will remain in Florida for their annual training trip this week. Vermont will return to action in the second semester traveling to Siena on Saturday, January 11 at noon in Loudonville, New York.
