WOMEN'S HOCKEY NOTEBOOK
Vermont returns home after their four-game road trip, hosting a weekend series with Holy Cross. Friday's game is set for 6 p.m. and will be Vermont's Rally Around Mental Health game presented by Redstone benefiting United Way. Saturday's puck drop is also slated for 6 p.m. and is the Catamounts' Rally Against Cancer game presented by Mascoma Bank.

RALLY AGAINST CANCER PRESENTED BY MASCOMA BANK
Saturday is the Catamounts Rally Against Cancer game presented by Mascoma Bank. The team will be wearing special edition Rally Against Cancer jerseys that will be auctioned off online starting at puck drop at
https://www.32auctions.com/uvmwihcancer. The auction will end on Saturday, February 10 at 7 p.m. and proceeds will benefit the UVM Cancer Center. Fans are encouraged to wear lavender, the universal cancer awareness color to this game in support of the team's cancer awareness initiatives.

STARTING WITH POSSESSION
The Catamounts have continued to dominate the faceoff circle this season, ranking third in the Nation in faceoff percentage with a 57.7% success rate. Last season, Vermont's 54.7% faceoff win percentage also ranked first in the conference. Natálie Mlýnková and
Evelyne Blais-Savoie are at the forefront of these wins for UVM with 234 on the season.
CATS ATOP HOCKEY EAST

Krista Parkkonen remains tied at the top for defenseman in Hockey East in point production (15) and assists (12). Natálie Mlýnková is tied for the fourth spot in goals (12) for the entire conference while also being tied for fifth in points (23).
PRECISION PUCKSÂ
With a shooting percentage of 9.7%, Vermont is second among Hockey East teams and 10th in all of Division I. The Cats have maximized their opportunities, scoring 59 goals on just 606 shots.Â

DEFENSIVE STOPPERS
Vermont ranks second in blocked shots within Hockey East, tallying an impressive total of 369. This places them tied for eighth nationwide in this category.Â

Krista Parkkonen secures the 11th spot nationally with 51 blocked shots this year.

ATTENDANCE RECORD RESET
Vermont broke the Hockey East home attendance record for the second straight year on November 10, smashing the previous record of 2,210. A whopping 2,705 fans attended Saturday's Pack the Gut Challenge game presented by the Windjammer against 15th ranked Boston College.

SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
Holy Cross enters the weekend with 14 points landing them 10th in Hockey East. On the year, the Crusaders are 7-16-2 (4-13-2 HEA) and are coming off a weekend sweep of BU.

Millie Sirum is the top goal scorer (8) and point producer (15) for Holy Cross this season. Alexia Moreau has also achieved double-digit points on the season with seven goals and eight assists. Madison Beck and Brooke Loranger have split time in goal this season for the Crusaders. Beck is allowing 2.43 goals per game this season while posting a .919 save percentage. Loranger boasts a .906 save percentage on the year while allowing 2.86 goals per contest.
SERIES HISTORY
Vermont and Holy Cross are set to meet for the 17th time this Friday, with the Catamounts currently leading the all-time series 11-4-1. The two teams crossed paths earlier this season with Holy Cross edging out Vermont 3-2 in overtime.
Lara Beecher and
Maddy Skelton each netted a goal for the Catamounts before Sirum scored the game-winning goal with 1:16 remaining in overtime.

Senior captain Mlýnková is the top returning scorer in Hockey East this season. She set new career highs in goals (23), assists (19) and points (42) last year.Â

OFFENSIVE TOUCH KEY TO HISTORIC CAMPAIGNSÂ
Vermont scored over 100 goals in each of the last two years for the first time in program history on their way to back-to-back second place finishes in Hockey East with a program record of 22 wins in each campaign. Vermont returns 56.1% of its scoring from a year ago.Â
