Havana Layton set a Vermont Varsity record in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:42.47. The Catamounts also set a first year record in the 200 medley relay. After the first day of competition the Catamounts sit in fourth place with 86 points. New Hampshire leads the pack with 110 points while Bryant is in second with 93 points and Binghamton rounds out the top three with 91 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vermont began their 2024 America East Championships on a high note with a first place finish in the 800 free relay. The combination of Jackie House, Emily Rocco, Ella Church and Anastazja Szukala finished in a time of 7:24.15, earning the Catamounts gold in the 800 free relay for the third consecutive year.
- Tannah Proudfoot also earned All-Conference honors with her performance in the one-meter diving event placing third with a score of 252.00.
- Torykian, Laney, Fazio and Layton placed fourth in the 200 medley relay A final.
- Julianna Salvador, Gwenyth Lister, Jessica Drozdowski and Zoe Webster set the Vermont first year record in the 200 medley relay B final finishing in a time of 1:45.65.
WHAT'S NEXT
Following Wednesday's action, the Catamounts will continue to compete in the America East Championships with Day Two on Thursday. Preliminaries will begin at 10 a.m. followed by finals at 5:30 p.m. The teams will also compete in the 3m diving event preliminaries starting at 2:30 p.m. After Thursday's action, the teams will compete in an all-day schedule Friday and Saturday with prelims starting at 10 a.m. and finals beginning at 5:30 p.m. All of the action can be streamed live on
