HOW IT HAPPENED
- For the second straight meet Kenworthy won the 1000 and 500 Free for the Catamounts. In the 1000, the second event of the meet she was 28.71 seconds faster than anyone else in the field (10:31.21). In the 500 she picked up the win by 3.7 seconds (5:14.07).
- Schick won the 100 Back (58.76) and 200 Back (2:06.54) for Vermont Saturday.
- Szukala won the 50 Free and 100 Free for Vermont in back-to-back swim events (separated by diving). She claimed the first race in a time of 24.31 and then second in 52.94.
- In the 1m diving first year Robyn Tonomura-MacDonald earned her first career collegiate win with a mark of 242.85. She was also second in the 3m with a score of 236.85.
- Havana Layton earned her second win of the season, claiming the 200 Free in a time of 1:57.30, .65 seconds faster than the nearest competition.
- Lauren Clark won the 200 Fly for the second time this season with a time of 2:07.73, finishing 2.58 seconds faster than anyone on the day.
- Jessica Drozdowski earned her first win of the campaign in the 100 Fly with a mark of 58.98.
- The Catamounts final win of the afternoon came in the 400 IM as Jocelyn LeGere topped the field by 8.53 seconds (4:33.27).
WHO'S NEXT
The Catamounts return to action in three weeks as they travel to Rhode Island for the 2025 Harold Anderson Invitational at the Tootell Aquatic Center in Kingston. Vermont will be looking to win the event for the fifth straight year. The event will be run from Thursday, November 20 to Sunday, November 23.
