John Becker was named NABC Division I All-District I Coach of the Year on Tuesday. UVM guard
Shamir Bogues was named to the All-District I Second Team.

Becker picks up the fifth All-District I Coach of the Year award of his career after leading the Catamounts to their third straight America East Championship. The UVM bench boss received his league-record seventh America East Coach of the Year award earlier this month. Becker has guided the Catamounts to a 28-6 (15-1 AE) record this season. The 28 wins are tied for the second-highest total in program history.
Bogues receives the All-District I nod less than a week after being named the Reggie Lewis Most Outstanding Player of the Jersey Mike's America East Playoffs. The junior averaged 14.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.3 steals, and 3.0 assists in the playoffs. Bogues was named America East Newcomer of the Year at the beginning of March. He is one of 5 America East student-athletes to receive All-District I recognition.
The Catamounts will make their third straight NCAA Tournament appearance on Friday (Mar. 22) against No. 4 Duke in Brooklyn, N.Y. The opening tip is set for 7:10 p.m. ET at the Barclays Center. The game will broadcast nationally on CBS with Ian Eagle, Bill Raftery, Grant Hill, and Tracy Wolfson on the call.
