Vermont men's lacrosse (5-7, 3-2 AE) travels to UMass Lowell (0-10, 0-5 AE) for an evening match-up on Saturday, Apr. 20. The game will begin at 5 p.m. and be streamed live on AmericaEast.TV from Cushing Field.

LAST TIME OUT
The Catamounts picked up their third conference win of the year last weekend as they defeated Bryant 16-12.
Brock Haley had five points for the second straight game while
Max Frattaroli,
Tristan Whitaker, and
Charlie Pope all recorded hattricks.
Walter Zhao went 15-23 from the faceoff spot with eight ground balls and his first career goal to help control possession.
George Egan had a career game in cage with 23 saves and three ground balls. The 23 saves are the most by any Vermont goalie since 1996.

Zhao's faceoff performance against Bryant earned him a spot on the USILA team of the week. He becomes the second Catamount to be named after
Jack Combs was named after his performance against UMass on Mar. 9.

STATISTICAL LEADERS
Through 12 games this season, Vermont has several among the best in the nation and America East. On the national level, Pope is tied for third in the country in individual man-up goals with seven. He is also tied for 15
th in the country in goals per game with 2.83, both the man-up goals and goals per game marks rank first in America East. Frattaroli is also ranked highly as the first year is sixth in the country in shooting percentage at 49% and 13
th in man-up goals with five. Egan,
Henry Dodge, and Combs are the other Catamounts ranked in the top-30 as Egan is 13
th in save percentage at 50.3%. Dodge is 23
rd in ground balls per game at 6.00 and 30
th in faceoff winning percentage. Combs is 25
th in caused turnovers with 1.67 per game which is the second most of any first year in the country.

SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS
UMass Lowell comes into the game winless on the season and winless in conference play. Garrett Murphy leads them in scoring with 12 goals and two assists for 14 points. His 12 goals are a team high while Khairi Sears leads the team in assists with nine. Sears has 14 points as well with five goals to his name. Mark Pav and Luke Renaud have split goalkeeping responsibilities with Pav starting and appearing in seven games while Renaud has appeared in five while starting three. Pav has a 14.67 goals against average while Renaud has posted a 15.50.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts lead the series eight to one with Vermont's only losing coming in 2019 when they lost 8-4 in Lowell. They won last year's matchup in Burlington, 21-3 as Haley and
David Closterman each had five goals.
Carson Boyle and Whitaker each had two goals as well on the day.
