William Locke each won their respective races to help Vermont sweep the Vermont Invitational. The Vermont women won their team competition with 27 points, while the men won with 23.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Locke won the men's race with a time of 25:22.1. Jameson Sparks was the Catamount's second finisher in third place with a time of 25:43.5.
- Bennett Harrison-Michaels finished fourth, three seconds behind Sparks at 25:46.2. James Cilwik came in seventh at 25:55.3 to be Vermont's fourth finisher. The Catamount's final point scorer was Elliot Hawley, who finished eighth with a time of 26:02.8.
- Gilmore won the women's race at 18:16.5. Siena Stanley was Vermont's second point scorer with a fifth-place finish at 18:45.9.
- Clare Kelly came in sixth with a time of 18:47.8. Ellery Klatka was seventh and the Catamount's fourth point scorer at 18:52.5. Vermont's final scorer was Ava Johnson, who finished in eighth with a time of 18:54.7

UP NEXT
The Vermont women return to action on Saturday (Sept.14) for the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational at Dartmouth. The meet kicks off at 10:30 a.m. in Hanover, N.H. Both teams will be back in action on Sept. 21 at the Equality Invitational and John McNichols Invite.
