America East Unveils Men's and Women's Basketball Conference Schedules

BOSTON – America East announced the conference schedules for the 2024-25 men's and women's basketball seasons on Thursday afternoon. Vermont men's and women's basketball will each begin league play on the road.

Vermont men's basketball will enter the 2024-25 campaign as the defending America East champion, while the Catamount women's basketball team will look to build off their deepest postseason run in program history. Men's basketball locked up its league-best 11th title when they defeated UMass Lowell 66-61. Women's basketball made it to the Fab Four of the women's NIT before falling to St. Louis 57-54 on Tom Brennan Court.
 
Season tickets for the 2024-25 season are on sale. Fans interested in becoming new season ticket holders can place their deposit today at go.uvm.edu/2024-25seasontickets or by calling (802) 656-4410. Men's Basketball
  • Vermont enters the 2024-25 campaign in search of its fourth-straight America East Championship. No America East team has won four straight since Northeastern from 1983-1987.
  • The Catamounts will begin their America East title defense with three straight road games. The league opener is slated for January 4, when Vermont travels to New Hampshire. They will then travel to UMass Lowell on January 9 in a 2024 America East Championship rematch. The final game of the road trip will see them travel to Bryant on January 11 in a rematch of the America East semifinals.
  • UVM will then return home to Patrick Gym for four of its next five games, starting with a visit from Binghamton on January 16. The Cats will also host NJIT (January 23) and UMBC (January 25). The Cats will wrap up January with a trip to Binghamton on January 30.
  • UVM will return to Patrick Gym on February 1 to host Maine. The Cats then head to UAlbany on February 8.
  • The Catamounts will welcome New Hampshire on February 13 before heading to Maine on February 15. The Cats will then host Bryant (February 20) and UMass Lowell (February 24).
  • UVM will travel to NJIT (February 27) and UMBC (March 1) in the final road games of the regular season. The Catamounts will conclude at home against UAlbany on March 4.
 
Women's Basketball
  • UVM will open their conference slate when they travel to UAlbany on (January 2) in a 2024 America East Semifinals rematch.
  • Vermont will return home for a three-game homestand starting on January 4 with a matchup against New Hampshire. They will then play host to UMass Lowell on January 9. They will close the homestand by hosting Bryant on January 11.
  • The Catamounts will embark on their longest road trip of the season, starting in Binghamton on January 16. They will then travel to NJIT (January 23) and UMBC (January 25) to conclude the trip.
  • Vermont returns home to face Binghamton on January 30 before heading to Maine for a rematch of the 2024 America East Championship game on February 1.
  • UVM will return home to face UAlbany (February 8) before hitting the road for three of the next four games.
  • The Catamounts will close out the regular season home slate with games against NJIT (February 27) and UMBC (March 1).
