BURLINGTON, Vt. – An estimated crowd of 4,000 joined the Vermont Men's Soccer team on the Church Street Marketplace Sunday afternoon to celebrate the Catamounts 2024 National Championship. The Championship Parade presented by EastRise Credit Union was broadcast live on WCAX.

The Catamounts processed up Church Street accompanied by representatives of EastRise Credit Union, Coca Cola, Zero Gravity and WCAX. Men's Soccer staff and student-athletes threw co-branded EastRise Credit Union t-shirts and rally towels to the crowd.
At the Top Block of Church Street Marketplace fans and invited guests gathered around the stage to hear from the National Champions. Director of Athletics
Jeff Schulman, UVM President Patty Prelock, Burlington Mayor Emma Mulvaney-Stanak and Governor Phil Scott spoke to the crowd about the Catamounts achievements and their lasting effect on the state of Vermont.
Mulvaney-Stanak concluded her remarks by reading a Burlington proclamation declaring January 26, 2025 "University of Vermont Men's Soccer Team Division I National Champions Day."

Zach Barrett addressed the crowd thanking Catamount Country for the support from San Diego to Cary and everywhere in between.
"The support you have given us throughout this whole season, throughout this whole tournament especially in the Final Four, was just outstanding. It was amazing," said Schulze Solano. "It lifted us up and it pushed us in every moment. It meant so much for the team. Playing in front of the green wall in North Carolina, we will never forget it our whole lives."
The formal program concluded with Brig. Gen. Henry Harder the Deputy Adjutant General, Vermont National Guard presenting Coach Dow with a Green Mountain Boys flag.
