BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont men's basketball team took home a win in Albany, NY against UAlbany.
TJ Hurley led the Catamounts in scoring with 21 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vermont started the game off with five straight Nick Fiorillo points. One of the baskets was an and-one and Fiorillo proceeded to knock down the free throw.
- Two Shamir Bogues' paint shots and a TJ Hurley three forced a UAlbany timeout. At the 16:28 mark, UVM led 12-2.
- UAlbany would then proceed to go on a 15-5 run. The game was tied 17-17 going into the 12-minute media timeout.
- After the media timeout, The Great Danes went on a 10-3 run.
- With eight minutes remaining, Vermont was down 27-20.
- After the media timeout, Nick Fiorillo hit three threes and closed the gap 29-30.
- With 1:30 left, Vermont retook the lead 35-33 thanks to two Sam Alamutu paint finishes.
- UAlbany and UVM would trade baskets, but ultimately Vermont would pull away with a one-point lead going into the half. The Catamounts led 37-36.
- The Catamounts and Great Danes traded baskets to start the second half. A TJ Hurly mid-range pullup and a floater would keep UVM up 43-41 with 16 minutes remaining.
- Shamir Bogues would hit a corner three, a steal on the defensive end, and two paint drives to extend UVM's lead to 51-47 going into the 12-minute media timeout.
- Out of the media timeout, Ileri Ayo-Faleye did a shot fake from the left corner and then drove the baseline for a dunk.
- With four minutes remaining, the game was all tied up at 57-57 going into the last media timeout.
- TJ Hurley hit a three out of the media timeout.
- Ileri Ayo-Faleye had another monster slam dunk with his head at the rim as UVM would go up 62-58 with 2:30 remaining in the game.
