BURLINGTON, Vt. – No. 2 Vermont (20-12, 13-3 AE) travels to No. 1 UAlbany (26-5, 14- AE) on Friday (Mar. 14) for the 2025 Jersey Mike's America East Championship game. The game will tip off at 5 p.m. and be broadcast live on ESPNU and ESPN+ with Roy Philpott and Aja Ellison on the call.
BROADCAST INFORMATION
Friday's title game will be nationally televised on ESPNU and simulcast on ESPN+. Fans can listen to the game for free on the Vermont Sports Network from Learfield on WVMT, which will air on 96.3 FM in Burlington, 105.9 FM in Plattsburgh, and 620 AM around the rest of the region. The radio broadcast is also available via the Varsity Network App, and Ryan Zimmerman is on the call.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
- The Catamounts defeated Bryant 62-45 in their last game.
- Catherine Gilwee led all scorers with a season-high 16 points. Sarah Ericson was second with 11 points. Keira Hanson and Nikola Priede were tied for third with 10 points each as Vermont had four players in double figures for the fifth time this season.
- Gilwee led Vermont in assists with four. Ericson and Bella Vito were tied for second with two each. Hanson and Sarah Lazar were third, with one as the only other Catamounts to record an assist.
- Anna Olson led Vermont in rebounds with 10, which marks her second double-figure rebounding game of the season. Priede was second with eight, and Ericson and Vito were tied for third with four each.
- UAlbany holds the 28-27 all-time series lead over the Catamounts. The two teams have split their meetings this year, while Vermont has won four of their last five against the Great Danes. They won their most recent game in Burlington, 59-50, but fell in Albany to begin conference play on Jan. 2.
- This season, Olson is the Catamount's leading scorer, averaging 12.8 points per game. Hanson and Priede are second and third, averaging 9.6 and 8.8 per game, respectively.
- Vito leads the Catamounts in scoring with 5.8 per game. Olson and Priede are second and third, averaging 5.2 and 4.4 per game, respectively.
SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
- UAlbany had won seven straight heading into the championship game, with its last loss coming to Vermont on Feb. 8. To advance to the finals, it defeated New Hampshire, 66-44, in the quarterfinals and Maine, 49-41, in the semifinals.
- Kayla Cooper was named the America East player of the year, while the Great Danes had five all-conference selections. Cooper (First Team), Jessica Tomasetti (Second Team), Kaci Donovan (Third Team), Martina Borrellas (All-Rookie), and Delanie Hill (All-Rookie) were their honorees.
- Cooper leads UAlbany in scoring, averaging 17.2 points per game. Donovan and Tomasetti follow, with averages of 11.5 and 9.1, respectively.
- Cooper is the Great Dane's top rebounder, hauling 6.7 boards a game. Tomasetti is second with 4.4 per game, and Donovan is third with 4.0 boards.
