BURLNGTON, Vt. – Gus Yalden scored a team-high 21 points on Monday afternoon as Vermont (11-8, 3-1 AE) fell to UAlbany (7-12, 3-1 AE) 68-75 from the Broadview Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Vermont started off hot out of the gate, going on an 11-2 run in the first five minutes of play thanks to Gus Yalden's paint buckets. UAlbany got its footing as it went on its own 6-5 run, but Vermont still held an eight-point lead thanks to a David Simon and-one layup.
• Vermont held a 23-17 lead at the 8-minute media timeout.t
• Following the timeout, UAlbany went on a 10-2 run, taking a 27-25 lead with 3:59 left in the first half.
• Gus Yalden knocked down a straightaway three, but the Great Danes would end the half up 37-2.9. Yalden had a team-high 13 points at the break.
• UAlbany maintained its lead out of the second half, leading 44-3.8.
• Shortly after, Ben Johnson hit a right-wing three, but the Great Danes extended their lead to 54-41 with 11:49 left in the half.
• Vermont closed the gap to five with 1:55 remaining, thanks to a TJ Hurley three and a Sean Blake layup. The Catamounts trailed the Great Danes 65-60.
• UAlbany went 10-for-10 from the free-throw line to close the game.
