COACHES QUOTE
"It's very exciting that Zoey is bringing home the New England individual title for UVM. It's been since Olympian Judi St. Hilaire won this race in 1980 that the Catamounts have won the top prize. Zoey was smooth and confident throughout and pulled away nicely in the last mile" said Head Coach
Matt Belfield. "We also are celebrating our first men's team trophy position since winning in 1958, and just the third top-3 team finish in the 114-year history of this race. Our men raced really well tactically today and are gaining confidence for a really good America East Conference Championships at the end of the month. Will Locke finishing fifth is one of the best ever in this event as well.
The women team result was a little short of our goal, but we will be healthier and more well rested in the coming weeks. The women are hungry for success and we will be ready when it counts."
