BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont (0-1-1) will head on the road for a contest against Yale (0-0-0) on Thursday, August 20 in New Haven, CT. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

VERMONT OUTLOOK 

• The Catamounts hold a 10-6-0 all-time record against Yale. Last season, Vermont lost 1-0 to Yale at Virtue Field. 

• Vermont ranks 18th nationally and 2nd in the America East with 7.5 saves per game. 

• Sophia Kling is 3rd in the America East in save percentage (.889). Kling leads the Catamounts with eight saves on the season.  

• This will be Yale's first game of the 2026 season. The Bulldogs were picked to finish 7th in the Ivy League preseason poll.  

• Vermont returns two America East All-Conference members from their 2025 squad, Bridget Kennedy and Madeline Gardner.  

• Vermont was picked to finish third in the America East 2026 Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll.  

• Catamounts welcome eight newcomers to their 2026 roster: Kendra Ivaska, Juliette Perreault, Reese Kingsbury, Rosie Angelone, Shaan Sandhu, Eleni Stowell, Kate Hawley, and Éléonore Blouin.
