Burlington, Vt. – Sophia Kling recorded five saves as Vermont (0-3-1) fell to Army (2-2-0) 0-3 on the road in West Point, N.Y. from Malek Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Within the first 30 seconds, Aubrey Bough took a shot from outside the box, but the Army goalkeeper made a diving save to her right. 

• In the 3rd minute, Sophia Kling saved a shot from the right side of the box. 

• Minutes later, Bough had a good look off the free kick set piece that just missed left of the goal. 

• In the 29th minute, Madeline Gardner's shot from outside the box went over the net. 

• Several minutes later, Kling made a strong save on a close-range shot inside the box. 

• After 45 minutes, the match remained tied 0-0.  

• In the 50th minute, Kate Hawley's shot from inside the box narrowly missed to the left. 

• Army scored in the second half with a shot from the left side outside the box that went over Kling's hands, taking a 1-0 lead. 

• In the 72nd minute, Army scored again from inside the right side of the box, extending the lead to 2-0. 

• Several minutes later, the Black Knights added another goal, increasing their lead to 3-0. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE 

• Sophia Kling notched six saves. 

• Eleni Stowell had a team-high four shots. 

• Madeline Gardner, Mollyana McGuire, and Aubrey Bough each registered a shot on goal. 

• Abigail Mills, Emma Warren, and Sophia Kling were the only Catamounts to register 90 minutes of game action.
