BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Catamounts make the trip down I-89 for the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Dartmouth. Vermont is coming off a pair of individual and team wins in their season opening race against UMass Lowell.

VERMONT OUTLOOK

• The Vermont men will compete in an 8k while the women race in a 6k on Saturday morning.
• The meet features participants from hosts Dartmouth, Boston College, Brown, UConn, Harvard, Middlebury, Northeastern and UMass in addition to Vermont. This is an expanded field from four teams participating in 2025.
• Freshman Zoey McNabb and Graduate Student Eamon Burke both collected America East Performer of the Week honors after winning in their Vermont debut's.
• McNabb went wire to wire in her win against UMass Lowell clocking a 17:35.50 to lead a pack of four Catamounts at the top of the women's leaderboard in the 5k.
• Returners Siena Stanley and Isabella Fryer posted podium finished against UMass Lowell in their season debuts. Freshman Lydia Donahue also posted a strong time in her collegiate debut with a fourth-place finish against UMass Lowell at 18:37.90.
• Burke posted a 20:23.60 four-mile time while four other Catamounts rounded out the top-five.
• In the 2025 Maribel Sanchez Souther Invite, both Vermont men and women finished in fourth as a team.
• Siena Stanley was the top Catamount in this event in 2025 when she crossed the line at 22:20.10 to finish in 11^th overall.
• Will Locke did not participate in the 2026 season debut but lead Vermont at Dartmouth in 2025 finishing in tenth with a time of 25:22.80 in the 8k.
