BURLINGTON, Vt. – It's a multi-event weekend for Vermont with a contingent traveling to Columbia, Missouri on Friday for the Gans Creek Classic. Then on Saturday a separate group of participants compete in the Equality Invitational hosted by St. Michael's in Colchester.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
- At the Gans Creek Classic, there will be competitors in four separate races on Friday starting with the Women's Gold Invitational 6k at 9 a.m. eastern. That is followed by the Men's Gold Invitational 8k at 9:45am eastern. At 10:45 a.m. there will be the Women's Black Open 6k Race and then the Men's Black Open 8k Race at 11:30 a.m.
- There are 12 Catamount women headed to Missouri including five freshmen, Lydia Donahue, Dylan Friedman, Zoey McNabb, Niav Murphy and Lila Pritham.
- Donahue and McNabb have both scored points in their first two races for the Catamounts while Murphy and Pritham collected top-ten times in the season opener against UMass Lowell.
- The Vermont men also send 12 representatives to Missouri with their top finishers in the seasons' first two races, Eamon Burke and Darius Parker, both making the trip.
- On Saturday at the Equality Invitational the Catamounts will have eight women compete in what is believed to be the only 8k Women's race in the nation.
- Senior, Daniel Brennan finished third in the 2025 Equality Invitational and leads a group of 11 Catamounts in the Men's 8k. Brennan posted a 27:14.40 to finish on the podium.
- The Men will race first in Colchester on Saturday getting started at 10 a.m. with the women slated to start at 11 a.m.
