ABOUT VERMONTThe Catamounts enter their second conference matchup of the season with a 0-1 mark in America East after falling against Maine last week. Freshman
Taylor Gaines continues to pace the offense with a team-leading five goals and 11 points in 11 games. Senior captain
Ashley McDonald has chipped in four goals on the year, including one in the contest against Maine last week.

Molly Higgins are tied for first on the team in assists, with two apiece. On the defensive side of the ball, back

Vermont is set to face UMass Lowell for the 12
th time in series' history on Friday. The Catamounts own an 8-2-1 record all-time against the River Hawks despite a loss last season in Lowell.

The Catamounts have faced off with Rider just two times in program history and the Broncs have come out on top in both meetings. Sunday's matchup will be the first contest between the two teams since 2003.
SCOUTING UMASS LOWELLThe River Hawks, who joined the America East Conference last season, sit at 4-7 overall and 0-1 in league play. They've dropped three of their last four contests, including a 5-0 decision at Albany this past Saturday. As a team, UMass Lowell is averaging 1.64 goals per game and surrendering 2.82 to opponents. Senior Bianca Jones ranks among the conference leaders in points (18) and goals (9), and has taken home America East Player of the Week honors two times on the year. Georgia Cowderoy has helped lead the attack with a pair of goals and three assists. Kelsey Federico owns a .698 save percentage and 2.58 goals against average in 11 games in goal for the River Hawks.

SCOUTING RIDERThe Broncs own an even 5-5 record on the year following consecutive wins over Villanova (3-1) and Lock Haven (2-1) in their two most recent matchups. They will faceoff with Colgate on Friday before traveling to Burlington to take on UVM on Sunday. Rider is averaging 1.60 goals a contest and allowing 1.70 to opponents through the first 10 games. Allison Baligian tops the squad with five goals, while Dezarae Fillymyer and Carlie Spaeder have four scores each. Joelle Prettyman holds a 4-5 record in net with a .689 save percentage and 1.67 GAA in nine games.
