VERMONT WOMEN'S HOCKEY NOTEBOOK
The University of Vermont women's hockey team (8-4-1, 1-2-0 HEA) closes out its season long six-game road trip with a pivotal series at Northeastern (4-6-3, 3-4-0 HEA) this weekend. The Catamounts face the Huskies at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday in the team's first matchup of the season.

TRIO OF FORWARDS LEADING THE CATAMOUNTS OFFENSIVELY
Dayna ColangAmanda Pelkey and Brittany Zuback were the Catamounts top-three offensive players last season and they have picked up right where they left off. All three are averaging a point a game. The trio has scored 25 of Vermont's 39 goals this season. Each of them had three goals last weekend as the Catamounts swept Syracuse.

ZUBACK SCORING STREAK STRETCHES TO SEVEN GAMES
Senior forward Brittany Zuback has set a program record with a goal in seven consecutive games. She has eight goals and 11 assists during the streak. She is currently tied third in NCAA scoring with 10 goals on the season.

PELKEY NAMED TD BANK STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
With a six-point weekend, leading Vermont to a sweep at Syracuse, senior co-captain Amanda Pelkey was named Vermont Athletics' TD Bank Student Athlete of the Week. Click here to watch the video.

PELKEY BECOMES VERMONT'S ALL-TIME LEADING SCORER
With three points last Saturday at Syracuse Amanda Pelkey became Vermont's all-time scoring leader with 89 career points. Pelkey passed Allie Knowles (1995-99) who held the record at 88. Pelkey is now the all-time leader in points and assists (46). Knowles still holds the all-time goals record with 46. Pelkey has scored 43 career goals while fellow senior Brittany Zuback has 38.

POWER PLAY CONTINUES TO CONVERT
Vermont's power play is eighth in the NCAA. The Catamounts have converted 11 of their 51 opportunities, which is good for 21.6%. Vermont has scored at least one power play goals in its last four games.

CATAMOUNTS CLOSING STRONG

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Northeastern: The Huskies started the season uncharacteristically slow but have been better of late. Last week Northeastern played three Hockey East games. The Huskies defeated No. 6 Boston U 6-3 on the road Tuesday night before splitting a home-and-home set with Providence over the weekend.

Junior forward Kendall Coyne was named the Warrior Player of the Week in Hockey East after picking up five goals and three assists in the Huskies three-game week. Coyne notched her fifth career hat trick in Northeastern's 6-3 win at Boston U.

Coyne leads the team in scoring this season with 10 goals and nine assists for 19 points in 11 games this season. The 2014 U.S. Olympian has seven goals and five assists in three career games against Vermont.

Senior goaltender Chloé Desjardins leads Hockey East with 693 minutes played. She has a 3-6-3 record this season, although two of her wins are shutouts at New Hampshire and Mercyhurst. Desjardins is 4-1-1 in six career games against the Catamounts.

The Huskies lead the all-time series against Vermont 27-5-4. Last season Northeastern was 2-1-0 in the teams' three meetings.
