| Follow @UVMmsoccerBURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of Vermont men's soccer team unveiled a 20-game schedule, including eight home games at Virtue Field, for the 2015 season.
The Catamounts will play 11 non-conference games and face teams from nine different leagues. Vermont will also face four teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season, including conference foe UMBC that played in the College Cup.

2015 Men's Soccer ScheduleUVM will play its first four games on the road and kicks off the season on August 28 and 30 with trips to Sacred Heart and Hofstra. Vermont closes out the season-opening four-game road swing with a trip to Oregon. The Catamounts will face the University of Portland and Oregon State in Oregon on September 4 and 6. The trip will be a homecoming for UVM head coach
Jesse Cormier who spent several seasons as an assistant and associate head coach at Oregon State.
Vermont will host the 25th edition of the Peter Baldwin Classic presented by Morgan Stanley and the Windjammer on September 11 and 13 at Virtue Field. The 2015 tournament features Central Connecticut, New Hampshire and UNC Asheville.
UVM will host Marist and Bryant on September 19 and 27 in non-conference games before opening up the America East slate on October 3 versus Binghamton. Last season the Catamounts earned a 1-0 overtime victory via a
Brad Cole penalty kick to earn a spot in the America East Playoffs.
Vermont will also host UMBC (October 14) and Albany (October 31) at Virtue Field this season. The Catamounts defeated the Great Danes in the quarterfinal round of the America East Tournament and fell at UMBC, the eventual conference champions, in the semifinals.
The top six teams in the final regular season standings will advance to the America East Tournament. The first round will be held on November 7, followed by the semifinals on November 11. The finals are slated for November 14 or 15. All games will be played at the highest seeds and the America East Tournament Champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Vermont advanced to the America East Tournament for the 10th time in 11 years under Cormier and finished 2014 with an overall record of 8-9-2.
