Trumble raced to a time of 1:33.79 as the top finisher to qualify for the New England Championship. The senior captain set a new personal record after besting her previous mark of 1:35.49 which was registered in the 2018 Middlebury Winterfell. Her 600m pace set the new facility record at Virtue Field House, which was 1:34.98 prior to Trumble's run.
This is her first time winning Performer of the Week this season for track & field and the second time a Catamount has earned the conference's weekly honor.
John Benner was named Male Track Performer of the Week (Dec. 11).
Both the men's and women's track & field teams took first place at the Middlebury Winterfell last weekend for their first victories of the season. Hoping to carry momentum this week, the Catamounts return to action for the Penn State National Invite (Jan. 25 & 26) as well as a meet at UNH (Jan. 26).
