STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Thirteen individual victories and a new school record headlined the day for Vermont Track & Field who split up to compete in the Penn State National Open, Middlebury Invitational, and UNH Tri-Meets.

Lauren Trumble's win in the Invitational 1K was an impressive wire-to-wire effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Trumble's victory in the 1000m came in 2:50.32 while O'Shea finished shortly after in third place with a time of 2:53.70.
- Williams finished the men's 600m in 1:21.83 to beat the previous school record by 2.11 seconds.
- Meyer won her heat in the 800m with a time of 2:16.37 that placed her ninth overall.
- In the women's 600m, Grasso registered a personal-best time of 1:38.64 for a fifth-place finish.
- The Catamounts registered six individual victories at the Middlebury Invitational to finish third in the men's competition (108.5 pts.) and fourth in the women's meet (95.5 pts.)
- Sonia John headlined Vermont with victories in the 200m dash (26.17s) and 400m dash (59.43s).
- Will Juniper won the men's 400m dash with a time of 52.09 to sweep the 400m races for UVM.
- In the 500m, Alex May Curtis and Julia Nugent earned the top two spots as they finished in 1:19.93 and 1:22.96, respectively.
- Skye Douglass-Hughes and Shane O'Connor registered victories in the field events. Douglass-Hughes recorded his first career victory with a triple jump distance of 12.96m. In the shot put, O'Connor's throw of 14.89m beat the second-best mark by 1.69m.
- DJ Snide (60m hurdles), Eli Ogilvie (500m), Anya Gorodentsev (long jump), Alex Parasky (long jump), Andy Chess (pole vault), and Morgan Ferland all earned runner-up finishes in their events.
- The Vermont men (85 pts.) and women (65 pts.) finished third at the UNH Tri-Meet
- Bill Comstock was the first to cross the finish line in the 500m, earning the victory in 1:07.84.
- In the 800m, John Benner completed the race in 1:58.88 to finish in first place
- Taylor Kracher and Brennan Huff swept the top two spots in the 1000m with time so f 2:31.04 an 2:34.80, respectively.
- Neville Caulfield registered a mile time of 4:17.75 to earn the victory in his race.
- In the women's mile, AnneMarie Martell finished first with a time of 5:14.25.
- Maggie Hallahan also recorded a victory at UNH when she ran the 3000m in 10:19.56.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Catamounts continue the season with a pair of meets next week. Qualifiers for the New England Championship will be in Roxbury, Massachusetts Friday and Saturday (Feb. 1 & 2), while a group of Catamounts will compete in the Villanova Invitational (Feb. 2).
