HISTORIC WIN AT DARTMOUTH
Vermont is coming off a 1-0 shutout victory at Dartmouth on Tuesday night. The win snapped the Big Green's 23-game home unbeaten streak. The Cats beat their regional rival for the first time since 2008 and earned their first victory in Hanover since 1999. New Hampshire native
Alex Nagy recorded his first-career game-winning goal in the 63rd minute.
CATS IN THE LAST FOUR MATCHES
The Catamounts have reached the win column in three out of their last four matches. Vermont has kept its opponents off the scoreboard in each of the three victories. During the four-game stretch,
Rasmus Tobinski has scored three goals and has been credited with one assist.
Jon Arnar Barðdal has also been a key setup man with two assists.
TOBINSKI NEAR THE TOP
Tobinksi remains at the top of the conference leaderboard in shots (38) and shots on goal (19) plus the freshman forward ranks second in points (16), goals (7), and game-winning goals (3). On the national stage, the Kiel, Germany native stands at No. 4 in shots per game (4.22), No. 8 in shots-on-goal per game (2.11) and No. 20 in goals per game (0.78).
SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
The Bearcats stumble into the weekend with a 0-2-0 mark in conference play and a 0-4-0 record on the road. Binghamton has produced the third-most shots (118) and shots on goal (55) in the league. Noah Luescher sits second behind Tobinski among America East players with 2.44 shots per game. The junior midfielder leads the team and ranks in the league's top five with four goals and nine points. Newcomer Ethan Homler is coming off a two-goal performance last time out in a 2-1 win over Columbia. In goal, Mats Roorda is the conference frontrunner with 4.38 saves per game and has registered a .700 save percentage in eight games.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts are in control of the all-time series with the Bearcats. UVM leads the series 12-6-3 and have won the last five meetings plus nine of the last 10 overall. During the 10-game run, the Green and Gold have outscored their conference counterpart 16-3 with eight clean sheets. The rivals have also met in the America East Tournament twice in the last four years, including the 2015 title game when Vermont edged BU 1-0 at Virtue Field. Last year, the Cats claimed a 1-0 victory on the road thanks to a first-half goal by Barðdal.
