Frosti Brynjólfsson have received America East weekly accolades. Runarsson was named Defensive Player of the Week while Brynjólfsson was tabbed as the Rookie of the Week. The league office made the announcement on Monday.

Runarsson totaled six saves and logged a pair of clean sheets for the Cats. Brynjólfsson had an impressive week with five points on one goal and three assists. The award is Brynjólfsson's first career weekly conference honor.
Runarsson made four saves in a 1-0 victory at Dartmouth on Tuesday night while Brynjólfsson assisted the game-winning goal in the 63rd minute. The non-conference win snapped the Big Green's 23-game home unbeaten streak and was UVM's first victory in Hanover since 1999.
The duo capped off the week with a 4-0 win over Binghamton on Saturday night. Runarsson stopped two shots and logged his second straight shutout. Brynjólfsson racked up four points against the Bearcats with one goal and two assists.
Vermont will host Colgate on Tuesday (Oct. 15) in the non-conference home finale. The opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. under the lights of Virtue Field. Tickets are available for purchase at
