BOSTON – The UVM men's soccer team has clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming America East Tournament. The conference tournament pairings were announced by the league office on Wednesday night.

The Catamounts have received a first-round bye and will host the winner of No. 3 seed Hartford and No. 6 seed Binghamton in semifinal round on Wednesday (Nov. 13). The opening kickoff is set for 4 p.m. Fans can catch all of the action at
CatamounTV.com.
Tickets will cost $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 14 and under. UVM students will receive free admission with the presentation of their UVM ID. Youth fans ages 12 and under wearing a soccer jersey will also get into the game for free. Non-UVM America East student tickets will cost $2. Fans can purchase tickets now at

UVM beat both Hartford and Binghamton during the regular season. The Green and Gold snapped the Hawks' 11-game unbeaten streak with a 3-0 victory on Oct. 19 as freshman
Frosti Brynjólfsson netted a goal and was credited with an assist. The Cats had their biggest offensive showing in conference play against the Bearcats with a 4-0 win at Virtue Field on Oct. 12. Brynjólfsson had another solid outing with one goal and one assist.
Vermont finished the regular season with an 11-5-1 overall record and posted a 5-1-1 mark in conference play. With Wednesday's 1-1 draw at 18th-ranked New Hampshire, the Catamounts earned a share of the regular season conference title. Based on the league's tie-breaking procedures, the Wildcats will be the top overall seed in the America East Tournament. UVM will make its 10th consecutive trip to the conference tournament and 14th in the last 15 years.
