BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont men's soccer Head Coach Adrian Dubois announced the Catamounts' leadership group for the 2026 season on Monday, naming
Nash Barlow and
Niklas Herceg as team captains while
David Ismail will return as a captain for a second consecutive season.
The trio will lead the reigning America East champions into the 2026 campaign, bringing a combined wealth of experience, consistency, and leadership to a program that has established itself among the nation's elite.
"Captains are defined by the trust they earn and the example they set. David, Niklas, and Nash have consistently demonstrated the highest level of character, humility, and selflessness that embody Vermont Men's Soccer," said Head Coach Adrian Dubois. "They understand that this program is bigger than any one individual, and every day they choose to put the team first. It is an honor to have these three young men represent our program as captains. I know they'll lead with integrity, compete with passion, and continue building on the championship standard and tradition of excellence that makes Vermont Men's Soccer so special."
The Catamounts will open the 2026 season hosting George Mason on Thursday, August 20 from Virtue Field with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
