BOSTON – University of Vermont freshman guard
Emma Utterback was named America East Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office. It is the second time she has earned the honor this season.

With a shift in responsibilities Utterback started her first two games as UVM's point guard this week and excelled in the new role. Against Norwich she played 34 minutes and had 14 points, four rebounds and six assists as UVM won 86-40. On Saturday against Canisius she led the Catamounts to another double-digit win with 15 points, two assists, two steals and a career-high eight rebounds.
Utterback was also named America East Rookie of the Week on November 11 after averaging 13.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in her first three collegiate games. This season she is averaging 11.3 points per game which is third best amongst the Catamounts and the top mark by a freshman in America East.
