BURLINGTON, Vt. – Jared Cipriano has joined the Vermont men's soccer coaching staff as the Director of Operations. Head coach
Rob Dow made the announcement on Wednesday.
Prior to UVM, he spent the last two seasons as an assistant women's soccer coach at crosstown foe Saint Michael's College. During his time with the Purple Knights, Cipriano helped to produce three New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl selections.
He has been the head coach of the Vermont Olympic Development Program since 2016 and Far Post Soccer Club since 2014. Cipriano has also served as the head junior varsity girls' soccer coach at Rice Memorial High School from 2014 to 2016.
Cipriano's coaching career took root in 2012 as a camp counselor at Camp Skylemar in Naples, Maine, where he worked with campers ages 6 to 16. He gained more leadership experience as the lead camp counselor at Mount Snow in Dover, Vermont for two summers. From 2014-2018, he was an instructor and team leader for children with autism and other behavioral needs at the Mosaic Learning Center in South Burlington.
He holds a U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) National D License and a United Soccer Coaches National Diploma.
Cipriano is currently working towards obtaining his master's degree in athletic leadership from Castleton. As a student-athlete at Elmira, he was an Empire 8 Conference All-Conference pick as a senior and earned a bachelor's degree in anthropology and sociology.
