BOSTON – Vermont track & field saw strong performances on Saturday across three locations in New England. A contingent of Catamount men competed in the Terrier Classic at Boston University. The UVM men and women also competed at the University of New Hampshire as well as the Middlebury Invitational.

TERRIER CLASSIC
- Benner recorded the top finish at BU for the Catamounts when he placed fifth in the 1000 meter run. The senior posted a time of 2:26.31.
- Liechty also logged a top-10 finish when he earned ninth place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 48.86 seconds. He also had a 25th-place finish in the 200 meter dash (21.96s).
- Shane O'Connor cracked the top 10 with a ninth-place finish in the shot put. The senior posted a heave of 14.51 meters.
- Comstock registered a 14th-place finish in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:52.51.
- Caulfield (35th) and Petela (37th) both ran personal-best times of 8:21.83 and 8:22.17, respectively, in the 3000 meter run.
NEW HAMPSHIRE
MIDDLEBURY INVITE
- Alex Parasky and Lauren Triarsi won their respective races in the 60 meter hurdles. Parasky logged a time of 8.85 seconds in the men's event while Triarsi recorded a time of 9.31 seconds.
- Ryan Guerino and Jasper Reed were successful jumpers with victories in the long jump and triple jump, respectively. Guerino had a leap of 6.54 meters and Reed posted a distance of 13.39 meters.
- Vermont also swept the pole vault with wins by Cannon and Andy Chess. Cannon registered a pole vault of 3.50 meters and Chess cleared 4.25 meters for their victories.
- UVM won the men's 4x200 meter run in dramatic fashion with a 0.05 second margin of victory. Jackson Baker, Elias Lindsey, Walker Horton, and Cam McLaughlin combined for a time of 1:35.61.

Vermont heads to Roxbury, Massachusetts for the New England Championships on Friday (Jan. 31) and Saturday (Feb. 1). The annual meet begins at 10 a.m. on Friday at Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
