BOSTON – Eight Catamounts earned All-Conference honors as Vermont men's and women's track & field both finished sixth in the America East Indoor Championships on Saturday at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center. The UVM men tallied 72 points and the women had 61 points.

Matt Belfield said. "Zane winning the 800 out of the second-seeded section was a shocker, especially to the men in the top section. The bunch of silver medals today by our seniors and captains was really wonderful and some were really close to victory. I'm very grateful to have a couple of teams so committed to success; and a staff that is so dedicated to see that it happens."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Zane Reservitz recorded a victory in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:54.77. The rookie clipped his personal-best mark by 0.55 seconds to earn an important 10 points for the Cats. Bill Comstock finished third with a time of 1:55.17.
- Alex Parasky continued yesterday's strong heptathlon showing with a pair of second-places finishes in the 60 meter hurdles (8.60s) and the pole vault (3.70m) portions to lock up second in the overall heptathlon. The senior posted a score of 4,751 points.
- The UVM women combined for 12 points in the 3000 meter run with Phoebe Koski (9:43.98) taking second. Konstanze Wendeln (9:55.52) and Bel Sogoloff (10:05.50) finished sixth and eighth, respectively.
- Alex May Curtis grabbed eight points for the women with a 500 meter dash of 1:14.69 that earned her second place.
- Vermont registered six points on both sides of the 1000 meter run with Caroline O'Shea (2:51.82) and Patrick Kitchen (2:26.43) taking third place in their respective competitions.
- In the men's mile, John Benner (4:10.73) and Chris Gish (4:13.84) finished fourth and seventh to earn seven points for the Catamounts.
- The men gained six points in the 400 meter dash with Justin Liechty (48.51s) and Will Juniper (49.51s) finishing in fourth and eighth, respectively.
- Dina John had a personal-best 2:14.08 in the 800 meter run to finish sixth and earn three points for UVM.
- Jane Leighton (5:01.44) and Sunny Nagpaul (5:01.56) ran personal-best marks in the mile and earned a combined three points with respective finishes of seventh and eighth.
- The men's 4x400 relay team of Trevor Nassar, Juniper, Alex Warner, and Liechty closed out the day with a time of 3:17.30 to finish third and earn six points.

The Catamounts close out the indoor track & field season at the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Saturday (Mar. 7). The two-day meet will take place at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center.
