BOSTON – On Day 1 of the ECAC & IC4A Championships, Vermont track & field saw numerous Catamounts advance through the preliminaries, and set personal records at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Parasky and Triarsi grabbed seven points in the combined events for Vermont. Parasky (4,815 pts) picked up six team points with a third-place finish in the heptathlon. Triarsi (3,265 pts) was eighth in the pentathlon.
- O'Shea finished second in the 1000 meter preliminaries to qualify for tomorrow's finals. The junior posted a time of 2:53.00.
- Marshall advanced through preliminaries in the men's 1000 with a time of 2:27.67. The Hinesburg, Vermont native was third in the prelims.
- Curtis qualified for the 500 meter finals with a time of 1:14.34 that was seventh in the preliminaries.
- In the women's mile, Nagpaul finished 15th with a time of 4:56.64 and was closely followed by Martell (4:58.68) in 16th.
- The 4x400 meter relay tandem of Will Juniper, Alex Warner, Parasky, and Justin Liechty advanced through the preliminaries with a time of 3:17.70.
- John posted a time of 2:13.18 for a personal record and 20th place in the 800 meter preliminaries.
- The distance medley relay team of Andrew Crompton, Steven Garcia, Zane Reservitz, and Steven O'Driscoll combined for a time of 10:13.07.
