BURLINGTON, Vt. - University of Vermont senior
Hanna Crymble (Champlin, Minn.) has been named to the 2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-America Women's Basketball Third Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The organization made the announcement on Monday.

Crymble, a Biochemistry major with a 3.81 cumulative GPA, is the fourth Catamount in program history to be honored as an CoSIDA Academic All-American. May Kotsopoulos (2010 Second Team), Karalyn Church (2000 First Team, 1999 Second Team) and Jen Niebling (1993 Second Team) were previously honored by CoSIDA.
Since the program's inception in 1952, CoSIDA has bestowed Academic All-America honors on more than 15,000 student-athletes in Divisions I, II, III and NAIA, covering all NCAA championship sports.
Crymble became the first Catamount since May Kotsopoulos (2007-08) to be named America East Defensive Player of the Year this season. She led America East with 49 blocked shots and was second in the league with 232 rebounds, an average of eight per game. She also had 31 steals. Crymble was also named to the All-Conference First Team, All-Defensive Team, and All-Academic Team. Crymble finished league play second in scoring with 16.3 points-per game.
Crymble finished her career at UVM with 1,752 points, sixth all-time. She was the 20th player in America East history to reach 1,750 points. She is the all-time leader at UVM in free throw percentage at 84.8 percent. She is also finished second all-time with 106 career blocks.
