NEW ORLEANS - The Vermont men's and women's track & field programs both received team All-Academic honors for the 2019-20 indoor and outdoor seasons, as announced recently by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The women's squad boasted a cumulative team GPA of 3.70. Last week, the women had 51 student-athletes named to the America East Honor Roll (3.0 GPA or higher) including 16 members with a perfect 4.0 GPA. The men posted a 3.55 cumulative GPA and landed 50 athletes on the America East Honor Roll. A total of 12 athletes from the men's side maintained a 4.0 GPA.

In May, UVM had four athletes earn America East All-Academic Team honors for the outdoor track and field season-
John Benner,
Marina Cannon,
Neville Caulfield and
Konstanze Wendeln. It was the fifth time in program history that the Catamounts had four or more student-athletes on the Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team.

Overall, there were 199 different programs honored for their academic excellence by the USTFCCCA. In order for the team to be eligible, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
