KINGSTON, R.I. – Vermont's 400 free relay team of
Kira Parker,
Jackie House,
Cailin Campbell, and
Mina Poppas set a new Tootell Aquatic Center record winning the event with a time of 3:28.44. The Catamounts came from 17 points behind yesterday to tie for the Harold Andersen Invitational title with the host URI. It's the Catamounts first pre-Thanksgiving invitational title since winning the Terrier Invitational in 2013.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Parker, House, Campbell and Poppas won the 400 free relay by 3.82 seconds over Binghamton. Critically they earned 40 team points, eight more than URI who placed third.
- In the 1650 free Ella Church continued her outstanding first year campaign placing second in the event in her first time ever competing at the distance. Church finished in a time of 17:34.75. UVM's Molly Williams placed fourth in the event (17:37.07).
- In the 100 free UVM placed second, third and fourth with House, Poppas and Cailin Campbell. The trio collectively earned 48 team points.
- First year Madison Supple placed third for the Catamounts in the 200 fly with a time of 2:08.55.
- The last time the Catamounts competed at the URI Invitational they placed third in 2019.

WHO'S NEXT
After the semester break Vermont returns to action on Friday, January 15 as they travel to face Northeastern at 1 p.m. The next day Vermont will host Siena in their Senior Day meet presented by the UVM Alumni Association starting at 2 p.m. at the Forbush Natatorium.
