The Catamounts posted a GPA of 3.72 in the spring 2025 semester to earn the honor. Vermont was tied with the 30th highest GPA in Division I in the spring, trailing top-ranked Stanford (3.91) by only 1.9. The Catamounts were the second highest team in America East.
Teams were chosen based off of their spring 2026 team grade point averages. 714 teams, and 16,680 student-athletes from 418 institutions were included in the decision process. The CSCAA Scholar All-America Team program presented by Fitter & Faster Swim Camps recognizes collegiate swimming and diving teams that have demonstrated excellence in the classroom by achieving a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher during the semester. Since its inception, the program has celebrated thousands of teams and student-athletes who exemplify the balance of academic and athletic success.
"As a coach, I am proud that our student-athletes consistently perform at such a high level in the classroom and the pool," said Head Coach
Gerry Cournoyer.
