Kira Parker and
Emily Murphy led the Catamounts in their season-opening meet Saturday afternoon from Swasey Pool on the campus of UNH. Parker tied for first in the 100 back and Murphy won the three-meter diving with 206.77 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Murphy's three-meter win was the Catamounts sole victory of the afternoon. She earned nine points for Vermont defeating UNH's Megan Caroll by 18.76 points. Murphy also placed second overall in the one-meter diving.
- Parker tied UNH's Michaela Herwig in the 100 back, the ninth event of the afternoon. The competitors each earned 6.5 points with a time of 59:15.
- Mina Poppas earned the Catamounts lone second place finish of the afternoon in the individual swimming events in the 500 free. She finished in a time of 5:17.06.
- The Catamounts 200 free relay team placed second overall with a time of 1:44.69. Issy Magbie swam the best split for the Catamounts with a time of 25.16 in the anchor leg.

The Catamounts are back at it in two weeks as they travel to face Providence College at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 6.
