The second-seeded Catamounts (4-1-1) will battle third-seeded NJIT (4-4-1, 4-2 AE) in the America East Semifinals on Thursday (Apr. 14) in Durham, N.H. The opening kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium on the campus of the University of New Hampshire. Attendance is limited to only UNH students. CATS IN THE CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
The Catamounts are 14-15-5 all-time in the America East Tournament. UVM is 8-9-1 in the semifinal round and will play in the semifinals for the seventh time in the last eight years. The 2021 spring campaign marks the eighth time that UVM has earned the No. 2 seed in the playoffs.

SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
NJIT clinched the No. 3 seed after winning Pod C this season with its 4-2 league mark. The Highlanders are led by America East Striker of the Year Regsan Watkins who posted a league-high seven goals in nine games this season. Watkins also leads America East in game-winning goals (3), points (17), and shots on goal (19). Rene White is a member of the All-Conference First Team along with Watkins. The senior has four goals on the season, which ranks fourth in the league. Samuel Reisgys has posted a 1.95 goals against average this season and a .684 save percentage in goal for the Highlanders.

EARLIER VS. NJIT
Noah Egan scored the game-winning goal in the final minute to defeat NJIT 2-1 in the Catamounts' home opener on March 19. The sophomore headed a carefully placed corner kick by
Alex Nagy to seal the game.
Evan Rouleau scored early in the game on another Nagy assist and
Nate Silveira tallied four saves. Jose Adames was the goal scorer for the Highlanders in the first ever meeting between the two programs.

AMERICA EAST ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
Vermont midfielder
Daniel Pacella was named America East Rookie of the Year on Wednesday (Apr. 13). The Montréal, Québec native became the sixth Catamount in program history to receive the honor, joining
Rasmus Tobinski in 2019,
Brian Wright in 2013, Lee Stephane Kouadio in 2005, Nick Azarian in 2000, and Troy Cowell in 1990. Pacella was also named to the All-Rookie Team and the All-Conference Second Team.

ALL-AMERICA EAST HONORS
In addition to Pacella's conference honors, six more Catamounts received yearly awards.
Alex Nagy and
Noah Egan were named to the All-Conference First Team and
Garrett Lillie joined Pacella on the All-Conference Second Team. First years
Bjarni Adalsteinsson and
Zach Barrett received America East All-Rookie honors with Pacella.

ADALSTEINSSON NAMED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Bjarni Adalsteinsson was named America East Rookie of the Week on Tuesday (Apr. 14). The first year netted his first collegiate goal last week against No. 11 New Hampshire. He is the second Catamount to receive a weekly honor this season.
Nate Silveira was named Defensive Player of the Week on March 16.
