SPRING CITY, Pa. – UVM goalie
Sierra Espeland will suit up for Team USA at the 2021 Indoor Pan America Cups later this month.
After several postponements, the event is scheduled to take place June 25-27 and it is a qualifier for the 2022 Indoor Hockey World Cup.

Team USA Roster
The tournament field is comprised of five teams: USA, Canada, Argentina, Uruguay and Guyana. Each team will play twice a day leading up to the medal round on June 27.
Espeland turned in a fine 2020 spring season posting a 1.611 goals against average and a .742 save percentage. She made 49 saves to just 17 goals allowed playing every minute in cage for the Catamounts. The senior from Virginia will return for a final season in the fall sitting just outside the top-10 in career saves at UVM with 222.
This marks the fourth time Espeland has represented the United States on the international stage. Espeland also played in the 2017 Pan-American Games in Oct. 2017, helping the Americans win gold and qualify for the Indoor Hockey World Cup – a first for Team USA.
