HOME SWEET HOME
Vermont returns home to Patrick Gym for the first time since Nov. 7 when it took an 80-65 victory over Brown. The Catamounts have won 17 straight games on Tom Brennan Court, and were one of only 15 D-I teams undefeated at home last season. UVM is 212-50 (.809) in Burlington since 2002-03.
THE ROAD HAUL
The Catamounts were on the road for 19 of the 23 days between home games and logged over 8,400 miles of travel. Vermont faced four NCAA Tournament teams (Saint Mary's, Cal State Fullerton, USC, and Yale), as well as three conference regular season champs (Iona, UNCW, and Long Beach State) from a season ago.
SCOUTING THE HORNETS
NVU-Lyndon faces its second Division I opponent of the season Thursday night. The Hornets visited former America East foe Hartford in an exhibition, suffering an 85-43 loss on Nov. 10. NVU-Lyndon's two wins this season have come against New England College (W, 69-68), and Vermont Tech (W, 79-71). The Hornets are led by senior guard Antonio Carlisle, who is averaging 16.0 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Junior guard Mondwell Bukle averages 13.2 points and 3.8 rebounds for the Hornets.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Sunday's meeting is the fourth between the two programs. The Catamounts registered their single-game scoring record in their last meeting with the Hornets, defeating NVU-Lyndon 122-65 in 2018. Everett Duncan and Isaiah Powell each had 17 points to lead Vermont.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE DUNCAN
Robin Duncan is the only Catamount on the current roster who has played NVU-Lyndon. The Evansville, Ind. native registered his lone career double-double with 16 points and 10 assists in his third collegiate game. Duncan nearly recorded his second career double-double on Saturday (Nov. 26) when he tallied 13 points and nine rebounds against UNCW.
