BOSTON – TJ Hurley has received the first America East honor of his career, earning the title of Rookie of the Week for the period ending Dec. 4. The league announced its weekly awards on Monday morning.

Hurley averaged 15.0 points per game for the Catamounts who went 2-0 last week with wins over NVU-Lyndon (W, 101-63) and Merrimack (W, 66-43). He opened the week with a career-high 15 points against the Hornets on Dec. 1, and matched his career-high output on Dec. 4 while visiting the Warriors. The Pelham, Ont. native was an efficient 10-for-17 (58.8%) from the field and 7-for-13 (53.8%) from beyond the arc in the two victories.
Hurley and the Catamounts return to action on Tuesday (Dec. 6) when they visit longtime rival Dartmouth in Hanover, N.H. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at Leede Arena, and will broadcast live on
