COACH'S QUOTE
"Very pleased that we had some first-time New England participants score some points today," said head coach
Matt Belfield. "Kayla was solid throughout the pentathlon and had a couple lifetime bests within the five events. Great performance for a rookie. Kaia had a big breakthrough in the vault and jumped to a huge personal best. Sofia didn't have her best day, but was good enough to share sixth with her teammate. Also, first-years Emma and Sadie were particularly strong in the 800 and 1000, respectively. Busy day tomorrow with the team split in two venues, but I'm expecting some more exciting results."
