COACH'S QUOTE
"The men ran really aggressively in the 3k going for record times and fell a little short, but they were very good performances and a strong finish to the season," head coach
Matt Belfield said. "Certainly the highlight of the day was Sofia earning All-ECAC in the pole vault. Her seventh-place finish got us a couple points, but doesn't tell the whole story of great a performance it was, coming off a really challenging week. Sofia has become an excellent big-meet performer."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wittmann logged a seventh-place finish with an impressive 3.70-meter pole vault. The junior was only 0.05 meters off her career-best mark.
- In the men's 3000-meter run, Wyatt Matyas led the Catamounts with a time of 8:23.22. Davis Cote and Owen Amsden registered times of 8:39.57 and 8:40.07, respectively. Nathan Stine had a time of 8:40.55.
