HANOVER, N.H. – Vermont cut a three-goal Dartmouth lead to one with under two minutes to go but Dartmouth goalie Daniel Hincks made the last of his 20 saves to preserve a 8-7 win for the Big Green Tuesday in Hanover..
Vermont falls to 2-4 on the season while Dartmouth wins its third straight to move to 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After Dartmouth got the game's first goal, UVM responded with two straight thanks to long range blasts from Thomas McConvey and Michael McCormack.
- The Big Green got a fortuitous bounce in the quarter's final seconds and scored to tie the game with no time left on the clock.
- UVM took a 4-3 lead in the second quarter thanks to goals from McCormack and David Closterman.
- George Prince tied the game at 4 for the Big Green and Henry Bonnie gave the hosts a 5-4 lead at the break with his goal with just under four minutes to play.
- Dartmouth scored the third quarter's only goal and took a 6-4 lead into the fourth.
- The Big Green took an 8-5 lead with 4:56 left in the contest which set the stage for Vermont's comeback effort.
- McConvey found his second of the day from Liam Limoges to cut it to two and then McCormack drilled his fourth to cut it to one with 1:42 left.
- The Cats forced a Big Green turnover and got the ball back with under a minute left but Brock Haley's bounce shot was turned aside by Hincks.
