Vermont track & field heads to Amherst, Mass. for the UMass Outdoor Invitational on Saturday (Apr. 16) at UMass Track & Field Complex. The Invite begins with field events at 11 a.m. Running events start at 12 p.m. Live results will be provided by MileSplit Live Results.

EARLIER THIS WEEK
Several Catamounts made the trip down to Amherst earlier this week for the UMass Multi-Meet. Combined events specialists Lauren Triarsi and Kayla Myers competed in the women's heptathlon. DJ Snide represented the UVM men in the decathlon.
 
TRIARSI'S PR
UVM junior Lauren Triarsi posted a career-best heptathlon score of 4,589 points en route to victory on Tuesday and Wednesday (Apr. 13 & 14) at the UMass Multi-Meet. Triarsi's winning score ranks No. 5 on the program's all-time list. The junior posted career-best marks in the 100-meter hurdles (14.65s), shot put (9.96m), 200-meter dash (25.91s), and 800-meter run (2:35.93). She recorded winning marks in the 100-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash, and long jump (5.42m).
 
SPEEDY AT THE SPRING INVITE
A pair of Catamounts ran speedy times at the Mason Spring Invitational on Saturday (Apr. 9) at George Mason. Bill Comstock and Mia Grasso both posted the second-fastest times in America East to-date in their respective events Saturday. Comstock logged an 800-meter time of 1:52.24, only 1.64 seconds off of the top mark in the conference. Grasso recorded a 1:03.13 mark in the 400-meter hurdles at the Mason Spring Invite. The senior's career-best 400-meter hurdles time of 1:02.98 ranks No. 8 all-time at UVM.
 
SPARKS' STEEPLECHASE
Vermont rookie Jameson Sparks was victorious in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the rain-shortened meet on Saturday at New Hampshire. Sparks posted a time of 9:49.64 to win by 12.64 seconds. Saturday's victory was in the first steeplechase entry of Sparks' collegiate career.
 
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE AE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Vermont will host the 2022 America East Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 7 & 8 at the Frank H. Livak Track & Field Facility. The Catamounts host the conference championships for the first time since 2016.
 
AE CHAMPIONSHIP TICKET INFO
Tickets for the 2022 America East Outdoor Track & Field Championships are available at UVMathletics.com/Tickets. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth (14 & under). Tickets will also be sold at the Gutterson Fieldhouse Box Office, starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday (May 7), and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday (May 8). Separate tickets are required for each day of the Championships.
